Neutralion

This is our world: a Realm consisting of different planets and races. Because of planets being so far away of each other, most races are unaware of each others' existence.

Earth

The planet Earth is home to Humans and various other magical creatures. In the past, Earth had a much higher Magical Potential throughout the population. Now, the average Magical Potential is at Rank D, the lowest it's ever been. Non-Elemental magic is the main magical element.

Mechanicord

Mechanicord is a completely mechanized continent. It was built upon a land that was populated with organic life thousands of years ago. There is no regulation for air quality, so its atmosphere deadly to most organic life.

Mechanicord is ruled by a single supercomputer (serial number CPU00000000). CPU00000000 is in charge of the land's laws, economy, and infrastructure. CPU00000000 has four subordinates that monitor Mechanicord's four main regions. They report back to CPU00000000 about the status of each region at any given time. Each region has its own set of government officials that are in charge.

The economy is run on a barter system, where information and goods are traded. Information and goods include programming techniques, blueprints, and machine parts. The value of information and goods is regulated by the government. In the black market, computer viruses, spyware, malware, etc. are common.

Each region of Mechanicord has populations ranging from 500,000 to 1,000,000. Transportation consists of high-speed train systems, conveyor belt roadways, and vehicle-like citizens. The most populated areas, known as "Hubs", are found at the center of each region. The Main Hub at the center of the continent houses Mechanicord's main government. Hubs are the literal economic center of each region. They are the main locations to get the latest news on the economic and political climate.

Innovation and progress are the main pillars of society. The arts and sciences are closely intertwined to the point where each is considered one and the same. Finding beauty in form and function is commonplace. Everything--citizen, law, tool, etc.--has its place in society. It is just a matter of finding what it is and adjusting yourself accordingly.

Every citizen is assigned an eleven-character length serial number at birth. The serial number's first three characters are a tag defining the citizen's model type. For example, CPU is for supercomputers, TV1 is for televisions, and CAR is for cars. The last eight characters are a hexadecimal number. The higher the number, the later they were born. A citizen may change their serial number to reflect a change in identity or to take on the legacy of a citizen. In the latter case, an ending tag is added to the serial number (e.g. CPU237595A4-2 where "-2" is the added tag).

The first machine of Mechanicord was born during "The Great Spark" five thousand years ago. The events around The Great Spark are unknown. A popular theory is that an ancient society created the first machine. Then, the machine grew sentient. That machine was CPU00000000. Its databanks were filled with knowledge from this ancient society. CPU00000000 has lost a lot of its older pieces of data due to time wearing out its physical memory storage. Scholars are trying to extrapolate its old data by analyzing the data still there and studying the continent's geological history.
