There's Something About the Ocean...

...that just draws me in.

Here's a question that no one has asked and probably never will: "Hey, PK, what's up with your weird fascination with the ocean?" And to that I say, let's start from... I dunno if this can be the beginning, but it's a talking point to build upon.

The thing is, I've never seen the ocean first-hand for a good majority of my life. The first time I saw it, swam in it, and experienced it was when my family and I went on vacation in the Philippines. Even before that, the ocean--and water itself-- appealed to me.

I've always loved swimming even though I was never good at it. The only type of pet I've ever owned were fish (though I think that was because I lived in a small house growing up and my family probably couldn't affored a dog or cat). My favorite movie for the longest time was Finding Nemo (well, more like it was my go-to answer for favorite movie as a kid. I was never a movie buff.)

Point is, the water has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even now, I find water and the ocean to be a huge comfort for me. Watching fish swim in an aquarium or in a fish tank is incredibly therapeutic for me: seeing their fins swish as they glide so smoothly through the blue, the way their gills open and close as they breath... it's just so mesmerizing. Plus, fish come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, so it's just a feast for the eyes!

I wanted my website to give off the vibe of being by the beach or snorkeling in the ocean, just kicking back and relaxing as you feel the warm tropical sun on your skin as the ocean breeze keeps you cool. ... Okay that's asking for a lot out of this website, but yeah.

Anyway, thanks for letting me talk about the ocean and my love for it! I might add more to this page in the future, but this is just here to give you a feel for what the site's all about.
